GM Ian Nepomniachtchi RUS(2695) had crossed the 2700 ELO border gaining +11 Pts at the “TORNEO INTERNACIONAL DE AJEDREZ CAPABLANCA GRUPO ELITE” (45th Capablanca Memorial, June 10-21, 2010) in Habana, Cuba by placing 2nd Overall with 6/10 in an Elite Group of six-player double round robin won by GM Ivanchuk, Vassily UKR(2741). GM Nepomniachtchi is expected to register a 2706 ELO come July 2010 FIDE ratings.
2. GM Fabiano Caruana ITA(2675) is also expected to register a 2697 ELO come July 2010 FIDE ratings from his cumulative gain of +21.9 ELO (+ 10,1 @ CIS-Serie Master-Italy, a +9.7 @ Mitropa Cup in Switzerland and +2.1 ELO @ the 2010 Ruy Lopez Masters 12-18th June in Villafranca de los Barros, Extremadura, Spain). His official FIDE Live Rating of 2696.9 will be rounded off to 2697.
3. GM Le, Quang Liem VIE(2687) is likely to register a 2681 ELO for July 2010. This is due his -6.1 ELO loss at the 9th Asian Continental Men's Chess Championship bringing his live rating down at 2680.9.
4. GM Wesley So PHI(2665) with his +4.1 ELO gain at the 9th Asian Continental Men's Chess Championship and a +4.9 ELO gain @ the 3rd Battle of Grandmasters (BOGM), Philippines or a sum of +9 ELO gain and finally calculated by FIDE for July 2010, is anticipated to register a 2674 ELO for July 2010.
5. GM Anish Giri NED(2642) maintained his stake as the top ELO gainer for the period covered with a new aggregate gain of +29.8 ELO (+7.4 ELO @ Top 16 –Phase 2, France, +2.4 @ Max Euwe Matches – Netherlands, +14.1 @ the Sigeman & Co Chess Tournament 2010 – Sweden and a +6.9 @ the recently concluded 2010 Dutch Championship). This bring his new Live Rating @ 2671.8 or a 2672 ELO rating for July 2010.
Also in the race placing 6th to 10th places with their respective projected FIDE’s July 2010 ELO ratings are GMs Dmitry Andreikin RUS(2650), Jon Ludvig Hammer NOR(2636), Ngoc Truong Son Nguyen VIE(2628), Yuriy Kuzubov UKR(2628) and Ildar Khayrullin RUS(2620).

The World’s Top 3 Juniors with their respective projected July 2010 ratings GMs Magnus Carlsen NOR(2813), Sergey Karjakin RUS(2739) & Maxime Vachier-Lagrave FRA(2723) were not included in the new computations since they are already in the Hyper-GM Status (2700+).
