There's really the genius in GM Wesley So. Chess as a career is not all about winning games over the board. It's a whole package of sports, business, and entertainment rolled into one.
Wesley's supporters might get worried about his doing a simul exhibition before the start of the 2010 Biel International Chess Tournament in Switzerland where he demolished all the oppositions with a flawless display of 21-0 artistic tapestry. Don't worry, guys. Holding that simul was a winning move!! That simul would surely endear him more to the international chess community. It's one way of "packaging" a commercially bankable sports icon.
