News Blogs Anish beats Wesley again

giri
GM Wesley so failed to avenge his loss to GM Anish Giri in their last encounter in Corus Group B early this year, this time losing again to the young Dutch grandmaster in the penultimate round of the 43rd Biel International Chess Festival. The match-up card between So and Giri now stands at two wins and a draw in favor of Giri.

Wesley's loss to Giri put him out of the title contention and perhaps even in the top 3 spots - which happens to signal the impending death of this blog (remember my wager?).

Nonetheless, I strongly believe that this loss cannot dampen the spirit of Wesley in pursuing his dream. All those who believe in him - including me - will always be behind him, through laughters, tears and pain, as he climbs up the ladder of greatness.

Go, Wesley!
